Who we are

AnswerForge ("we", "us") is an AEO content tool operated by Shovelware. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions: hello@shovelware.ai.

What we collect

• Account data: your email and a hashed password (PBKDF2; we never store plaintext passwords).
• Workspace content: the questions, content pages, and domains you create in the product, so we can generate and store your work.
• Product analytics: privacy-preserving, cookieless usage events (e.g. page views and signup) via PostHog. We use in-memory persistence, so we do not set tracking cookies or build cross-site profiles.

How we use it

To operate the service: authenticate you, generate and store your content, send transactional email (e.g. your welcome message), enforce plan limits, and improve the product in aggregate. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

• Cloudflare — hosting, database (D1), and email delivery.
• OpenRouter — routes AI generation and citation checks. Content you submit for generation is processed by the underlying model providers.
• PostHog — cookieless product analytics.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Email hello@shovelware.ai to request export or deletion of your account and associated content.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
